Overview

One of the most important accessories for a BWC, is its mount. One size may not fit all, so it is important to select a mount that works best, allowing for ease of use. Two generations of mounts are used for attaching Getac BWCs to uniforms:

• 1st generation or Gen 1.

  Caution:

  1st generation mounts are no longer available for purchase.

• 2nd generation or Gen 2.

Note:

• The Quick Twist Adapter is provided at no cost with the purchase of any Gen 2 mount and works with any generation of Getac BWC.

Caution:

• This must be completed PRIOR to attempting to attach a Gen 2 Mount.

• Use of Loctite®  or other thread locker (not included) is recommended to prevent the set screw from backing out due to vibration during normal use.

• Once mounted, the orientation of the camera is important to maintain up/down. If the camera is knocked to the side, it will not reorient the capture angle of the camera. This will cause Assets (videos) to be captured sideways or upside down.

 

Alligator Clip

This mount (aka Gator Clip), has teeth that allow it to be quickly attached to most places on a uniform. It can also rotate 360 degrees, with 12 locking points, to ensure the correct capture orientation for the BWC.

MOLLE Mount

This mount allows for attaching a BWC to almost any item that uses the MOLLE standard. It is typically used to attach to armor plate carriers used by law enforcement and military.

 

To attach, first insert the top left and right and bottom left and right MOLLE tabs through adjacent elastic bands, with the top mount plate sticking above.

Magnetic Mount

This mount allows for attaching a BWC to most places on standard uniform shirts, polo shirts, or jackets. It is typically mounted center-mass, on a breast pocket, or on other places where other mounts may not work.

Pocket Mount

This mount is used for attaching a BWC to breast pockets on most standard uniform shirts. This mount does not impede access to using the pocket.

Swivel Mount

This mount attaches to any existing Getac mount to allow for adjusting the vertical angle. This better accommodates people of different heights or use on non-standard uniforms.

Universal Mount

The universal mount, allows for attaching Getac BWCs to third-party mounting solutions.

 

Third-party mounts include:

• Blade Tech inc. Tek-Lok - Various options, e.g. MOLLE, Belt, etc.

   
  RAM® Diamond Ball Base - B Base

Third-party mounting solutions are not covered by Getac warranties. Reach out to the individual manufacturer for assistance with their respective products.
