How to Set Up Group Triggers

Overview 

Trigger Boxes help automate the process of starting and stopping a recording based on different scenarios. For example, whenever a light bar is activated in a patrol vehicle, both the BWC and MVS start recording immediately. The benefit of this, is that the operator can continue to focus on driving and avoid being distracted.

There are several ways to configure the equipment:

  • One-to-one - this is the most common configuration, where the BWC and MVS activate together with any trigger.
  • One to group - this means when a triggering event happens, all cameras with the same group name will start recording if they are within range of a Trigger Box.
  • One to all - this means when a triggering event happens, all cameras in multiple groups will start recording if they are within range of Trigger Box.
