Overview
Both models of MD-03 multi-dock are designed for charging and offloading up to 8 BC-03 BWCs and SB-03 battery packs at once, while also containing an Ethernet connection for connectivity and offload of Assets back to Getac Enterprise.
Charging
Place the BC-03 and/or SB-03 into the MD-03 as shown in the image below.
The following occurs once the BWC is docked:
- The BWC will say, "battery charge."
- The Battery Status LED will turn orange until fully charged, at which time it will turn green.
Note:
- Full charge from depleted takes approximately 4.5 hours.
- The SB-03 also requires 4.5 hours to fully recharge.
Offload
Once docked, the BWC will automatically attempt to connect to Getac Enterprise for configuration updates and to upload video.
Note:
- The MD-03D has internal storage that BWCs offload to first, before moving it to Getac Enterprise. This is known as a Store and Forward Solution.
- The MD-03E provides a direct connection to Getac Enterprise and BC-03s offload to it directly.
- The time for connecting/uploading to the server may take up to 5 minutes. This is due to authentication and validating any metadata.
