Overview
The magnetic breakaway charging cable is designed to connect and charge the BC-02 while mounted, and safely disconnect from the device when the operator needs to quickly exit a vehicle.
The USB connection should be attached directly to either a 12v Cigarette Lighter Adapter (CLA) (3rd-party item, not provided) or to the approved USB wall charger (sold separately).
Caution:
- USB chargers must be rated at a minimum of 2.4amps to provide adequate charge to the BC-02.
- Connecting the USB port to an MDT or vehicle infotainment system will put the BWCinto storage mode
- The BWC WILL NOT begin recording while in storage mode.
- Getac recommends only using this cable for charging purposes and utilizing the VD-02 mounted in a vehicle for data purposes.
