Overview
One of the most important accessories for a BWC, is its mount. One size may not fit all, so it is important to select a mount that works best, allowing for ease of use. Two generations of mounts are used for attaching Getac BWCs to uniforms:
- 1st generation or Gen 1.
Caution:1st generation mount are no longer available for purchase.
- 2nd generation or Gen 2.
Mounts
Chest Mount
The chest mount is designed to weave between the center buttons on a standard button-down shirt.
When viewed from the top, the clip has an S-shape designed to weave between the two shirt flaps.
Start by inserting the large backing plate behind the right shirt flap, just below the desired button.
Now slide the left shirt flap underneath the top mount plate. Then button above and below the chest plate.
Now slide the BWC onto the mount rails to attach.
Epaulette Clip
This mount connects to the left uniform epaulette and hangs down over the left upper chest. The mounting rails can swivel to adjust the camera’s vertical orientation.
Pinch the back part of the clip just above the mounting rails to open the clip. Slide over the left shoulder strap. Then pull the hook around the shoulder strap button to hold it in place.
Adjust the mounting rail swivel head to the desired position.
Now slide the BWC onto the mount rails to attach.
Swivel Mount
The Swivel Mount is an adapter, designed to allow for adjustment of the vertical capture angle, and works with any existing BWC mount.
Slide the bottom swivel mount tongs onto any BWC mount and adjust the angle using the tension screw.
Slide the BWC onto the swivel mount rails to attach it.
