Active Devices

Viewing the Active Devices List 

 

Select Devices. You will see the Active Devices tab page. This page lists the active devices with summary information.

 

Active devices are devices which have been enrolled. 

A green dot before a serial number (S/N) indicates the device is currently connected to the server. 

 

 

Viewing Details of a Single Device 

 

On the Active Devices tab page, click a device to view details of the device. 

NOTE: 

  • About Cellular Data Usage: The calculation is based on the cellular data activities of the device and is made by the device. 

  • About ICCID number: For a device with dual SIM, the number shown is the ICCID of the SIM currently in use. 

  • For devices having more than one battery, the batteries are referred to as Battery A, Battery B, etc. 

  • The screenshot below is an example only. Detailed information shown for a device is determined by the license of the device. 

 

 

You can perform the following actions with the current device. 

  • Click a subtab to look into specific information of the device. 

  • Click to create a group containing the currently selected device(s). (See “Tag List” for further information.) 

  • Click to dispatch installation packages to this device. (See “Dispatch” for further information.) 

  • Click to edit the custom field data for this device. To go back to the device list, click  

 

Changing the View of the Device List 

On the Active Devices tab page, click

You can: 

  • Rearrange the column order by dragging the column name to the desired position, except for the first column which is always S/N. 

  • Specify the number of rows to display in one web page by entering the number in the Page Size input field. 

After making changes, click Save. 

 

Performing Actions 

 

On the Active Devices tab page, you can select target device(s) for performing an action. 

Below are the actions you can perform on this page. (Some actions can be performed only if the user account is allowed to.) 

  • Click and then Dispatch to dispatch an installation package to the currently selected device(s). (See “Dispatch” for further information.) 

  • Click and then Assign License to assign license(s) to the currently selected device(s). (See “Manually Assigning a License” for further information.) 

  • Click and then Unlicense Device to retrieve license(s) from the currently selected device(s). (See “Manually Retrieving a License” for further information.) 

  • Click and then Deactivate Device to deactivate the currently selected device(s). This means the license(s) will be retrieved and the device(s) will be regarded as “Deactivated”. 

  • Click and then Change Organization to transfer the currently selected device(s) to another organization. (See “Changing Organizations” for further information.) 

  • Click to create a group containing the currently selected device(s). (See “Tag List” for further information.) 

 

Changing Organizations 

 

Devices can be transferred among organizations (if existing). (This action can be performed only if the user account is allowed to.) 

  1. On the Active Devices tab page, select (check) the target device(s). 

  1. Click and Change Organization. 

  1. Depending on your situation, you will see one of the reminders. 

  • Situation 1: If the target devices are all licensed, the popup window notifies you that the devices together with their licenses will be transferred. Click Next to continue. 

  • Situation 2: If the target devices are not all licensed, the popup window asks if you want to transfer the licenses now or later. After selecting the time, click Next. 

  1. For Situation 1 as mentioned, skip this step. For Situation 2 as mentioned above, the next popup window displays the information of other order(s). You can use the license from another order (not limited to the same order) as long as its available licenses are sufficient. Click the – button of the order as many times as needed. The number in the input field increases accordingly. Click Next to continue. 

  1. In the next popup window, select the target organization, enter your account password, and click Change. 

  1. When completed, click OK.
