In this example of the issue the user has already gone into settings for eSIM profiles and added the profile they need by scanning the QR Code. After the eSIM profile was added the WWAN still is not able to connect to the carrier
To correct this please go into Settings > Cellular > eSIM Profiles > Click the profile you added > Click USE
After that it is like the eSIM is being inserted as if it was a physical SIM and now shows up to be used. You can then go to the Mobile Operations section of Cellular and see that your APN now appears and details about the eSIM
