Overview
Veritone Redact, is an AI-powered redaction tool designed to automatically detect and blur or mute sensitive information in audio and video files. It helps law enforcement, legal teams, and public agencies comply with privacy regulations by efficiently redacting faces, license plates, and other personally identifiable information (PII). The tool leverages AI for object recognition and automation, significantly reducing manual effort while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Getac Enterprise leverages the power of Veritone Redact to provide advanced redaction capabilites to any Asset in the system.
Instructions
- To get started using Veritone Redact, first perform a search for the desired Asset, then click on its link to access the Asset Detail page.
- Click the gear icon, then Export (shown below)
- Under Export, click on Veritone Redact.
- Confirm the submission by clicking the Yes button.

If the asset was sent to Veritone previously, the pop-up will prompt to open a new redaction or use the existing one.
- One you click ‘Yes’ a new tab will open to Veritone. If you are already logged in it will take you straight to your Veritone environment, else it will prompt you to login.
- Once in Veritone you will see a folder with the same name as your Getac environment in the first column. This is where all videos from the Getac system will live.
- All the videos in the second column will be named the same as in the Getac environment. You can right-click and move to other folders if you want to break up workflows by group or individually.
- Once an asset is complete and is redacted in Veritone, it will automatically be pulled back into the Getac system. Getac checks every 3 minutes for new videos.
- You can find the redacted videos in two places. The File Redaction Status page will list all redaction requests the user has permission to see. Once the pull from Veritone is complete, the user who submitted the request will be emailed and a link to the redacted video will appear in the far right column.
- You can also see the redaction as a child asset of the main video
