Increase Speaker Volume

Q: My speakers have low output while at 100%. Is there a way to increase the volume within Windows?

 

A: Please follow these steps to increase the volume of your speakers:

  1. Click up arrow in bottom right corner system tray
  2. Right Click/hold on the speaker icon
  3. Click Sound
  4. Click Playback Devices
  5. Double Click Realtek speaker (Or whatever speaker you’re using as your audio)
  6. Click the Enhancements Tab
  7. Check the Loudness Equalization check box and click OK
  8. Right Click Realtek Speaker (or whatever speaker you’re using as your audio)
  9. Click Test
    a. If the loudness is good enough click ok
    b. If you still need it to be louder Double Click Realtek again
    c. Click Enhancements Tab
    d. Check the Equalizer Check box
    e. Next to the settings drop down below click the … button
    f. Bring all of the bars to the top
    g. Click Save
    h. Name it something such as Louder
    i. Click Ok
    j. Close that window with the X
    k. Click OK
    l. Right click Realtek and click Test
    m. This will be your maximum volume possible
    i. If this is still not as loud as other Getac’s of the same model please call support for further troubleshooting.
