Q: I am having issues connecting my Getac to our LifePak 15, do you have any troubleshooting steps to help get it working?
A: If you are unable to connect your Getac to your LifePack 15 please follow these steps:
- Open Device Manager
- Find your Bluetooth Device and right click it
- Click Uninstall Device
- If it asks to delete the driver please check the box and press OK
- Reset Your computer
A. This will install the generic drivers from Microsoft - Open the “LIFENET Device Communications” tool.
- Click “Control”
- Click System Configuration.
- Click Yes.
- Click Device Data Recognition.
- Make sure Port is set to what the Bluetooth is in Device Manager COM ports.
- Click OK.
- Then go into Windows Bluetooth Add device (make sure it is set to visible).
- In the Lifepak device, you have to search for devices and wait to see the computer listed.
- Click the computer and wait for Windows to see it.
- Windows will ask to setup device then enter PW 0000.
- It should connect.
- Open The Field Bridge 5 program.
- Click open on the right (depending on what you need).
- Click EKG IMPORT from left column (3rd from bottom left).
- Load from device.
- Lifepak 12/15 and follow instructions listed (scroll to see all steps).
- It will start a % counter (progress bar).
- After 99% is reached, it will say completed.
If this procedure which is known to work, does not work please try it with another Lifepak device, or this Lifepak with another Getac device to rule out the possibility of one or the other having a problem with their Bluetooth. If each work with another then please contact Getac Tech Support at 866.394.3822 for further assistance. Please let them know you have already followed this FAQ.
