Overview

When navigating Getac Enterprise, common elements remain the same, with only minor differences depending on the selected section, e.g., Assets vs Cases menu. This article explains how to filter or change the information displayed regardless of section.

See image below for an example:

Navigation Menu

The main navigation menu is always on the screen's left side, regardless of which section is currently being viewed.

The navigation menu elements include:

  • Home Page - Displays the Home page. Access it by clicking on Home in the breadcrumbs (highlighted in red below).

  • Analytics - Displays the Analytics Page

  • Assets - Displays the Asset Search Page

  • Cases - Displays the Manage Cases page.

  • Sharing - Displays the Sharing page.

  • CAD - Displays the CAD page.

  • Units - Display the Units page.

  • Setup - Opens the Setup menu modal.

Tables

While different data points may be present, data tables function the same across all pages.

Common elements include:

  • Actions Column - This column contains a vertical ellipsis (⋮) button that provides a submenu with different options, depending on the page being viewed. This button appears on every page's table.

  • Sort Buttons - Columns with ↑↓ arrows can be sorted in ascending or descending order.

  • Column Search Bar - Columns with a search bar can be filtered by keyword searching, including wildcard searches.

  • Picklist - Columns with a dropdown list can be filtered by selecting from an existing data list, e.g., Categories.

  • Date/Time Group - Columns with a calendar icon can be sorted by the Date/Time Group. This includes pre-selected filters in a picklist and custom range options.

Note:

The navigation menu can be closed at any time by clicking on the ≡ icon at the top left of the screen, regardless of the current page view.

See the image below for its location:

Additional Options

The following buttons are located on the right side of the screen, above the table (inside the red rectangle):

  • Search for Assets button  - Brings up the search dialogue, allowing for a new search without returning to the previous screen.
  • Expand View button This button minimizes the Navigation menu, freeing up more screen space for viewing the table.
  • Clear All Filters button  - This quickly resets all filters back to default.
  • Customize Columns button  - This allows for adjustment of which columns are viewed. Preset views can also be created from this menu.

Info:

Additional navigation elements that are unique to specific pages are covered in each respective section.
